Snowsports In Kappl

The Silvretta-Arena ski area has about 238 kilometres of very well prepared piste. From the beginner’s terrain with its wide ski pistes, through to challenging steep slopes, everything is on offer. A good ski lift system, with links to the Swiss resort of Samnaun, also means that wait times are short leaving you more time on the snow to experience the extensive skiing and riding that Kappl and the Silvretta-Arena ski area has to offer.



Skiing



Whatever level you are Kappl offers skiing. Kappl is a particular favourite with families. For additional skiing buy the Silvretta Skipass with resorts throughout the Paznaun valley including Kappl, Ischgl, Galtür, Samnaun and See and the 71 lift and cable car network.



Beginners – Kappl & Ischgl has some gentle nursery slopes. Under the expert supervision of the local instructors, beginners can soon be enjoying wide and sunny slopes.



Intermediates – The slopes of the Palinkopf area in Ischgl offer an excellent selection of red runs, including one particularly challenging one! An absolute must is the 12km run from the top of Palikopf down into Switzerland and Samnaun, returning by cable car to Alp Trida.



Advanced – There are good range of on piste blacks and some fantastic touring routes, but the area really shows its natural beauty when you take a guide and head for the off piste, for which the area is renowned.



Snowboarding



The Rennstrecke Snowboard Park is situated conveniently just above the mid station, and offers race-course, cross-country, jumps and rails, plenty of loud music and a huge air mattress for practicing new tricks.


Activities And Nightlife In Kappl

Off the slopes the nearby resort of Ischgl resort offers plenty of other sports activities including ice skating, curling, winter walks (50km), leisure center with indoor pool, steam bath and sauna, bowling, indoor tennis and sleigh rides.



If you like to party, Ischgl is the party capital of the Austrian Alps with glitzy bars and clubs open until dawn. Along the main street you will find lots of upmarket venues and smart restaurants. Ischgl even has its own branch of the legendary Ibizan super club Pacha. Next door is the Coyote Ugly bar with dancing on the bar until the early hours.



Actually, holiday time is also a perfect opportunity to go shopping. Indeed, Shopping in Ischgl also means top high quality branded goods.



Ischgl has a good range of restaurant, with a mixture of themes ranging from traditional to Mexican, and pizza.
