Snowsports In Nendaz

The local runs of Nendaz are ideal beginner slopes and practice runs for intermediates. Most runs in the area are not novice terrain however. If you visit the 4 Vallees, getting back to Nendaz requires a bus or tackling a black/marked freeride run down from Plan Du fou. There is a ski bus to Siviez.



Choose to ski the Printze Sector, which includes Nendaz, Veysonnaz, Thyon/Les Collons and Siviez, or take in the entire 4 valleys with Verbier, La Tzoumaz, Bruson and the Mont-Fort glacier. Nendaz offers access to some easy off-piste, and marked freeride areas, for those starting out before moving on to what the 4 Valleys does best.


Activities & Nightlife In Nendaz

Families will enjoy Nendaz's range of non-ski activities, including tobogganing and dog sled rides. There is an ice rink, fitness centre, climbing wall and 130km of winter walks.



A good selection of restaurants and bars are located around the resort which are accesable by foot or taxi. While Verbier has the wow factor apres ski, nightlife in Nendaz proceeds at a quieter pace. If you still have energy after a day of skiing there are also Nendaz has a handful of night clubs open long after the bars close.

Glacier Express Ski

A Classic scenic winter train journey the iconic Glacier Express links two of the world's big name ski resorts, Zermatt in Valais and fashionable St Moritz in Graubünden. En route the Glacier Express glides through Andermatt, in Uri, one of the newest resorts. Panoramic carriages invite in spectacular views of snow capped mountain peaks and sparkling white valleys dotted with picture postcard wooden chalets. Then you catch your breath as you cross the immense Landwasser Viaduct, whilst climbing from the Rhine Gorge high over the Oberalp Pass.

The slowest express train in the world, the Glacier Express departs daily taking under 8 hours, with a leisurely lunch served onboard. This tour can be taken in either direction and an optional extension is to stop for a few nights to ski or ride Andermatt before continuing on your journey.
